About Sinead Campbell

Sinead Campbell is a Jamaican-Irish soul singer, songwriter, and creative producer based in the North of England. Her music blends modern R&B with nostalgic soul, funk grooves, playful jazz, and powerful, heart-on-sleeve vocals. At the heart of her work is a deep honesty – songs that are as much about healing and identity as they are about groove and soul.

Drawing on her dual heritage and lived experience, Sinead writes music that carries cultural pride, resilience, and self-discovery. Her songs move between soft strength and unapologetic empowerment, offering listeners a space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with their own truth.

Her upcoming EP Sankofa (out August 2025) is her most complete artistic statement yet. Inspired by the Ghanaian concept of “going back to fetch it,” the project reflects on heritage, ancestry, and healing as a path to personal power. Tracks like Stand, Brown Eyed Soul, and My World carry both intimacy and boldness – music that feels like a warm hug and a rallying cry all at once.

Sinead has already been compared to Mercury-nominated Olivia Dean and Thee Sacred Souls by Clash Magazine, praised as “a beautiful voice from the North” on Future Soul, Victoria Jane - BBC Radio 1, and championed by BBC Introducing, Fresh on the Net, and Amazing Radio. Her music has reached international airwaves from Lisbon to Dublin, while live she has supported Soul II Soul, Basement Jaxx, Phillip Lassiter, Pongo, and Arrested Development.

In 2025, following her first UK tour, Sinead is stepping fully into her artistry. Whether on stage, in the studio, or through community-rooted projects with her company Rise Up Music, she creates spaces of connection, empowerment, and soul.

“This music comes from the same place as my heartbeat – it’s culture, it’s resilience, it’s joy, and it’s mine.” – Sinead Campbell
